Language support

Our community organization is dedicated to empowering new immigrants by providing essential English language training and helping them navigate the educational landscape. We understand the challenges that come with settling in a new country, and we strive to make the transition smoother by connecting individuals with appropriate schools and programs tailored to their language needs. Through personalized assessments and support, we guide newcomers to local resources, including community centres, adult education programs, and online courses, ensuring they gain the language skills necessary for successful integration and participation in their new community. Our mission is to foster confidence and build bridges through language, ultimately helping immigrants thrive in their new environment.
Further to the activities listed above, provides support for immigrants and refugees in navigating language barriers when arriving in Canada. Volunteers will serve as translators on an as-needed basis. also assists immigrants and refugees with obtaining language assessments and registering for English language classes, such as MOSAIC (Multi-lingual Orientation Service Association for Immigrant Communities), one of Canada’s largest settlement non-profit organizations

Our services are often provided free of charge to newcomers.

Our future plan include:

Language classes: These are group classes that are held in person and are typically led by a trained language instructor. Language classes may be offered at various levels, from beginner to advanced, and may focus on different aspects of the language such as grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Conversation Circles: These are group sessions that are designed to help new immigrants practice their language skills in a supportive and social setting. These circles are usually led by a trained facilitator and are held in person or online. It provides an opportunity to engage in conversation and practice language skills in a relaxed and informal setting.
Language training programs: These are more intensive language programs that may be offered in person or online. Language training programs may include a combination of language classes and other learning activities, such as one-on-one tutoring, language exchange programs, and language immersion programs.
Online language learning resources: Resources such as language learning apps and online language courses. These resources can be accessed from a computer or mobile device and may be used as a supplement to in-person language classes or as a standalone language learning option.
Language testing and certification: Reference to testing and certification services to help immigrants demonstrate their language skills for work or other purposes.
